How do you spot an up-and-coming area? Just look for beautiful properties like this coming onto the market. Set within the heart of Kensal Rise, this property is absolutely bang-on trend.
Our favourite room was the extended kitchen with its polished concrete floor, tongue and groove panelled kitchen units, found antiques and Crittal doors leading onto the garden. It was urban but the reclaimed materials, reimagined retro lighting and exposed beams lent a country-cool aspect.
The living room was equally on trend with its mid-century antique furniture, wallpaper and retro pink feature lights. The upstairs bedrooms were feminine but serene. The pale whites and ocean-blue colour scheme paired with translucent curtains made the space feel serene. The same colour scheme carried into the master bathroom which was more relaxing than most spas thanks to its double-ended bath, rainfall shower and massive vanity.
The pièce de résistance was the garden and summerhouse. Superbly landscaped, the garden was minimalist but beautiful – perfect for a busy urban family. The studio beyond was the ultimate fantasy for anyone who has ever aspired to run a business from home.
The fact that this house sold quickly is no surprise. Kensal Rise truly is on the rise and with designs like this, it’s becoming apparent that this is the area to watch.
