Founded in 1999 by Paul Archer, this eponymous practice sets a new standard in high-quality residential projects. Fluent in materiality, light and spatial clarity, they create homes that are beautiful in form, practical in function and green in construction. A contemporary and crisp aesthetic is synonymous with their work, from newly built properties to the remodelling of historic homes. Their interventions test the boundaries of traditional architecture and style – glance through their zinc-clad mews house that plays with perceptions. Four storeys that look like two. Or Fin House, where a glazed back wall is separated by perforated Corten steel fins.
