An annual event, the London Design Festival is a chance to revel in the various design disciplines on showcase from local and global designers. With over 400 exhibitions of contemporary design from 17 Sept to 25 Sept 2016, the Festival interlaces The British Land Celebration of Design, the Festival’s collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum, Design Destinations, Design Districts, the Global Design Forum and a programme of special projects and installations. While feeling absolutely spoilt for choice on what to see and experience, we are also constantly astounded by the talent and creativity found in London and beyond.
Amongst a sea of designers, we are pleased to see some of our past Loves contribute to the line-up. Asif Kahn has created a three-part installation that explores architectural solutions to urban living, whilst our friends at Goldfinger Factory are launching their Trellick range in collaboration with Tom Dixon. BD Barcelona are celebrating 10 years of design and this year’s Talks with 100% Design will be curated by the Design Museum as part of their ‘on loan’ campaign: bringing the museum out in to the world and the design community.
There's a lot to pack in, but we're welcoming the 'more the merrier' approach with open arms and can't wait to report back once we've been exposed to EVERY design element we could possibly think of. Maybe we'll paint you a picture about it...
