Creating award-winning private and public gardens of all shapes and sizes since 2006, it’s no surprise that Adolfo Harrison is celebrated as one of the most talented garden designers in the UK. The studio’s firm belief is that ‘a successful design emphasises the delicate balance between man and nature.’ Achieving their aim to create an emotional connection between the client and garden within each project, the studio stresses the importance in a collaborative dynamic between themselves and the client to be able to push the brief to its full potential. Seeing garden and landscape design as one of the most relevant artistic mediums today, Adolfo’s creations have been published in Elle Decoration, House & Garden, Gardens Illustrated, The Evening Standard and The Daily Telegraph, to name a few.
‘Theatrical as well as fun, Adolfo’s designs combine plants, architecture and art in a thoughtful way’ – Clare Foster, House & Garden
2019 and 2020 saw the studio win the prestigious Judges Award at the Society of Garden Designers Awards, where, as a member of the panel, Adolfo sits alongside the other judges for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and teaches Garden Design at KLC.
Some of our favourite projects from the studio include the ‘Bamboo & Mirrors’ triangular garden which utilises mirrors and sedum roofs to distort and enlarge the space, a shaded courtyard garden resembling the famous gardens of Barcelona in Shepherd’s Bush, and the ‘Leo Yard’ which cleverly unites two terraces to allow the space to be used year round.
